Three named for Rotary recognition

Three Putnam Rotarians were recognized today as Paul Harris Fellows by Mary Keely, District Governor Elect and a member of the local club. Receiving the prestigious medals and certificates were Glen Clark, Chet R. Marshall and Sam Sentelle.

  • Glen Clark is the Account Executive for the local office of Suddenlink Communications.In the coming year he will serve as Club Secretary and as a member of the Golf Fundraising Committee.

  • Chet Marshall is the incoming President of Putnam Rotary for 2009-2010. This is his fourth award of the Paul Harris Fellow medal.

  • Dr. Sam Sentelle, is a member of the Rotary Board of Directors. Recently elected to a second term on the county Board of Education, Sentelle serves on the Putnam Library Board.

    The honorees today make a total of twenty-two Paul Harris Fellows which have been recognized in the local club since its charter in 1995. Among this number are seven multiple recipients, for a total of thirteen "multiple" awards.

    The Putnam club has many members who are "sustaining" as contributors to the Rotary Foundation in the "Every Rotarian Every Year" program for which credit accrues to the Paul Harris recognition.
