Rotary supports county fire school

The Putnam County Firemen's Association which includes all eight volunteer fire departments in the county, opened a three-day fire school at Eleanor this evening. The training program was sponsored jointly by the Putnam County Fire Board and the Regional Education Service Agency III.

Putnam County Rotary supported the fire school with a special grant of $1,500.

The events which continue through Sunday mark the 25th anniversary of the training program.
