Charles R. "Randy" Lucas, president of Padgett Business Services, has once again been designated as a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International.

Lucas represented the Putnam club at the Rotary International Convention in Chicago in 2005 with his wife, Clinical Psychologist/Counselor Laberta Salamacha.

Salamacha later joined the ranks of Rotary and has also been honored as a Paul Harris Fellow.

Lucas served as an Assistant District Governor in Rotary District 7550 in 2005-06

Anyone who contributes or in whose name is contributed a gift of $1,000 or more to the Annual Programs Fund of Rotary International may become a Paul Harris Fellow.

Each new PHF receives a commemorative certificate, a pin, and a medallion. Donors are eligible for Paul Harris Fellow recognition when their cumulative giving reaches $1,000.

The Putnam club has twenty-one members who are participating in the Every Rotarian Every Year support of the Rotary Foundation leading to the coveted Paul Harris recognition named for the founder of Rotary.

But Lucas, the first muliple recipient in the twelve-year history of the Putnam club, says he is "going for the diamond" -- the special PHF pin awarded to a select few who have been named to the honor ten times.

The Putnam Rotary meets at noon every Tuesday
at Sleepy Hollow Country Club.
